There are many long distance walking routes throughout the UK. Some are very well known like the West Highland Way and others you may not have heard of. Over the next few years we will be adding to our portfolio more great long distance walking holidays. However, for now check out some of the walking holidays that we offer.
UK Long Distance Walking Routes
Hadrian’s Wall
A very popular National Trail in England. Our walking holiday takes you along most of the trail which starts in Wallsend and finishes in Carlisle. If days become too long there is the Hadrian’s Wall bus that follows the route nearby so you can easily take this to your next accommodation.
West Highland Way
Probably the most popular long distance walking route in Scotland. Starting from near Glasgow in Milngavie you make your way North up to Fort William (151km). You will need to remember to take your camera as the scenery is amazing. If you do our 8 night tour and had extra time to explore you could stay longer in Fort William. There are many great places to visit nearby including the mighty Ben Nevis.
The Great Glen Way
Covering 79 miles from Fort William you will travel North to Inverness. You will have some great highlights on this 7 night tour including Neptune’s staircase (the sequence of lochs from Loch Linnhe to the canal), and not forgetting Scotland’s most famous Loch; Loch Ness. You may even spot Nessie! With a short detour you can even visit Castle Urquhart, which is one of the most photographed castles overlooking Loch Ness.
Pembrokeshire National Park
Our walking holiday in Pembrokeshire doesn’t cover the whole coastal path, but it lets you explore the coastal path from Cardigan to Broad Haven. You will see amazing coastal views and a vast amount of bird life. This is because just off the coast from St David’s is the Island of Ramsey which is a protected bird sanctuary. You will make your way back and forth on the Poppit Rocket bus which goes between the towns on the coastal path.

Love long distance walks and have done several. Tried to book 3 different walks last year and found as a single, the cost doubled for accommodations – even on self guided options. What is your current experience with vendors? I am interested in doing several weeks worth, combining more then one walk Thank you!
