Start with short walks and gradually increase the distance

It’s never too early to get your kids outdoors. Small hikes are a great way to get them experiencing nature and developing an appreciation for the outdoors. A great incentive is letting them play in the playground or giving them a treat or a treat+play.

Let Them Lead the Way At Their Pace

Give your kid the responsibility of being a leader on the hike and let them be involved in making decisions regarding the route. If there are any type of dangerous situations, inform them of the risks involved. Take it easy and adjust your pace to their speed. If your kids want to stop, make sure you have enough snacks and juice to keep them all energized while you rest a few minutes. If they can’t carry on, then find a place that is suitable for everyone to sit for a while and catch their breath.
