The island of Majorca (Mallorca to the locals) is a beautiful island off the coast of Spain. Majorca is a cyclist paradise, but it is also a great destination for walkers. It has some great walking trails and scenery which are ideal for walkers. Mallorca has become more popular in recent years for walking, but most paths and routes are still very quiet so you will often feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The Scenery
Mountains scenery, beaches, and blue crystal coloured water what more could you ask for? The views you will experience will give you a lasting memory of this island. Even just for the scenery, this walking holiday is worthwhile.
Port de Soller
A beautiful little village that has a horseshoe harbour on the West Coast of Majorca. It has the best of both worlds – surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains and has the sea view too. Soller is close by (about 5km inland) and you can take the famous tram up to the town to have a visit if you wish. Port de Soller is a great place to see with the lovely beach the pedestrianised promenade with cafes, and shops lined up against it. You will also see the Soller tram coming through the village to drop off and pick up the next load of passengers. Sit and relax in one of the cafes while watching the world go by.
Palma de Mallorca
If you have time before or after your tour check out the city of Palma de Mallorca. The city is located on the southern coast of the island and looks out over the blue Mediterranean Sea. Often compared to Barcelona because of its stunning architecture it is definitely one not to be missed. Nearly all the main attractions and shops are located near the large Gothic cathedral down by the seafront. Here you will find narrow streets, and buildings full of character. The city is very easy to get around and has many cafes and restaurants so you can sit and relax and take in the city life.
